OpenYT was built to solve one simple, annoying problem: YouTube links shared on social media almost never open in the actual YouTube app. Instead, they load inside a platform's in-app browser, where the experience is slower, the video autoplay and recommendations don't work properly, and creators lose out on likes, comments and subscribers.

We built OpenYT to fix that. Paste in any YouTube link, and OpenYT generates a smart link that detects in-app browsers and forces the video open directly in the YouTube app - giving your viewers the full experience and giving you the engagement you deserve.

Why We Built This

As people who work closely with creators and online tools, we kept running into the same complaint: "My views are high but my subscribers aren't growing." More often than not, the culprit was in-app browsers quietly killing engagement. OpenYT started as a small internal tool and grew into a public product because the problem turned out to be universal.
